Minulle metsä ja sen puut ovat tärkeitä ja jokaista kaatoa on syytä harkita tarkkaan. Joskus turvallisuus edellyttää luonnon muokkaamista. Tänään ehdimme viimein kaatamaan huolestuttavasti ihan sähkölinjojen vieressä olleita pihapuita. Tervetuloa näiden kuvien myötä mukaan puunkaatoreissulle meidän Möksälle.
Työ alkoi kaadettavien puiden kaatojärjestyksen suunnittelulla. Kuvassa mies asettaa kaatotunkkia ensimmäistä kuusta ohjaamaan. Lähinpänä sähkölinjaa kasvavat puut oli tärkeintä saada kaadettua ensin. Kuten kuvasta näkyy, keli oli mitä mainioin. Noh, ei meitä ole sokerista tehty. Päivän aikana satoikin vaihtelevasti lunta, räntää ja rakeita.Minulla oli työnä kasata oksat ja pölkyt, joiksi mies kaadetut puut sahasi. Nopeasti laskettuna kuusessa oli kuutisenkymmentä vuosirengasta. Möksä on rakennettu 1970-luvulla, eli kuusi on vanhempi kuin se! Tuo kuusi on nähnyt kaikki mökkeilijät vuosien saatossa. Kuullut ilot ja surut, nähnyt riidat ja juhlat. Nyt se vie salaisuutensa mukanaan.Ennen ja jälkeen. Eipä tuossa kyllä paljoa eroa tästä kuvakulmasta ole. Meille tuli kuitenkin heti sellainen olo, että mökin pihasta tuli valoisampi. Jokaisen puun kaatamista on kyllä syytä harkita, sillä ei ne hetkessä kasva takasin. Minä pidän puista mökin ympäristössä.Lopuksi oli ihana päästä tuvan lämpöön saunaan pääsyä odottelemaan.
